How we work. Choosing subjects and choosing sources are human editorial decisions. Writing the text, translating it into eight languages, and reading the articles aloud are produced with artificial intelligence models.
What that means. Text produced this way can contain factual errors or imprecise attributions. That is why we cite sources in articles, and why a reported error gets corrected on the page rather than left there.
Audio. The podcasts are synthetic readings of the articles, generated by a neural voice. They are not recordings of a human voice.
Dates. Every article shows its publication date. When an article is corrected in substance, we say so on the page.
